In 1977 organisation started a boarding school with just 5 students. It increased in strength to 30 student in the year 1978-79. After recognising this effort, 5 government recognised schools were set up in these villages. Today, all 150 villages in this belt have a primary school. But organisation soon realised that higher education was of prime importance. For that organisation set up residential school with the aid of the Sahyadri Gram Vikas and Shikshan Sanstha in 1997. Besides providing food and shelter, the school also provides regular health check up, library facility, training in herbal medicine, Vocational training etc. This educational activity doesn’t have any type of Govt. grant, It runs through people participation only.
